Thank you for your purchase and for supporting my small business!
In general, your fiber art should be durable and long-lasting with the proper use and care. If you ever have questions or problems with any item you have purchased from us, please contact us so we can help!
How do I care for my new fiber art?
Your fiber art is made from real wool and other natural fibers. These pieces are not intended as toys and may contain small objects that could be choking hazards. Pets such as dogs and cats will also be tempted to play with/chew on wool, be sure to keep them out of their reach!
Cleaning:
Wearable items such as scarves, purses, and hats should only be hand washed in cold water and laid flat or reshaped to dry. Spot cleaning with cold water is preferred. If needed, a mild detergent safe for wool/silk or even baby shampoo can be used. Avoid scrubbing or wringing out the fabric as this may damage it. Many of our items are hand dyed. Every effort has been made to prevent future dye transfer to other materials; however, use caution when pairing a new felted item with white or light-colored clothing.
Sculptures/3D and Two-dimensional pieces may be lightly dusted with a dry cloth or feather duster. Canned air can be used, but use caution with delicate fibers or embellishments such as feathers etc.
Storage:
For long-term storage, be sure to store items well away from any area subject to bugs or rodents. Consider storing in an airtight container such as a freezer bag or vacuum bag (flat pieces only). Including a lavender and/or cedar sachet to help repel pests is highly recommended. Essential oils such as lavender, cedar, or peppermint on a cotton ball are also great pest deterrents.
